The Stephen Tulloch Foundation

02-02-2011

Growing up in Miami I watched as my mom worked several jobs to ensure I had what I needed to be successful. Yet she still found time to help others who were less fortunate. As an NFL player, I have the opportunity to continue my mother’s legacy and help those who are at a disadvantage. My mom taught me to open my heart and give to those every chance I get.  I started the Stephen Tulloch Foundation in 2009 to help underprivileged youth with opportunities to be successful, just as my mother did for me. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Mission Statement: The purpose of my foundation is to provide underprivileged children the same opportunities as other children. Our goals are to supply them with the essentials to build self esteem and to be able to achieve their goals and unlock their potential.

The foundation has many accomplishments since we began. Over the last three summers we have provided free football camps for children in the Miami area. These camps have grown from 200 to 300 children and we hope to expand even more. We have also been able to purchase football equipment for an Optimist group in the Miami area.

In the Nashville area the foundation has provided school supplies for Brick Church Middle school and has held pizza parties for students who have excelled academically. We have also provided free dental checkups for many of these children. For the past two seasons we provided Thanksgiving dinner to over 150 children and their families from the Nashville area.

We would like to continue many of these events and add more to help underprivileged children. These children need to see there are people who care and with support we can achieve their goals and unlock the potential of these children!
